イタリア・ブレシア出身で、現在はパルマを拠点に活躍している製作家 Milena Noventa の新作ヴィオラ。パルマの伝統を大切にしながら、どこか柔らかくて自然体の雰囲気を持つ、彼女らしい作品です。

今回のヴィオラは、パルマの名工 Sgarabotto をモデルにした一本。名前の “Fenice（フェニックス）” の通り、あたたかく輝くようなニスがとても印象的で、眺めているだけで惹きつけられます。細部まで丁寧に仕上げられており、Milena の誠実な仕事ぶりが伝わってくる、手に取るとほっとするような楽器です。

We are pleased to introduce a new viola by Milena Noventa, a maker originally from Brescia and now active in Parma. Her work reflects the rich traditions of Parma, while carrying a gentle, natural warmth that is very characteristic of her style.

This viola is modeled after the renowned Parma maker Sgarabotto. True to its name, “Fenice” (Phoenix), it features a beautifully warm and glowing varnish that immediately draws the eye. Every detail has been carefully crafted, and you can feel Milena’s sincere and thoughtful workmanship throughout—a truly comforting and inviting instrument to hold in your hands.
