Alberto Cassutti is a violin maker and restorer based in Padova, Italy. He studied violin making at the Parma School under the guidance of Renato Scrollavezza. After graduation, he moved to London, where he honed his restoration and setup skills in esteemed workshops, including that of Florian Leonhard. These experiences provided him with profound inspiration from Italian master instruments. Currently, he operates his own workshop in Padova, and makes high-quality instruments renowned for their classical Italian style, refined arching, and rich acoustic properties. His work is highly regarded among musicians worldwide. In the 2019 ANLAI International Competition in Italy, he was awarded three prizes: for an antiqued violin, for an antiqued viola, and a special prize.
